dc.description.abstractEsta investigación titulada “PROPUESTA DE IMPLEMENTACIÓN DEL SOFTWARE DE INFORMACIÓN DIGITALIZADO E-POWER PARA LA ADMINISTRACIÓN DE LOS EXPEDIENTES CLÍNICOS EN EL CENTRO REGIONAL UNIVERSITARIO DE PANAMÁ ESTE (CRUPE)”, la misma tiene como objetivo fundamental que el estudiante que cursa la Licenciatura en Registros y Estadísticas de Salud aproveche la oportunidad en su formación académica para utilizar una aplicación informática de la administración electrónica de documentos para convertir los actuales expedientes clínicos de papel los cuales a través de los años son siempre los que se han venido administrando mediante los procedimientos manuales y no al formato digital. Con este aporte pretendemos que se logre la implementación al formato digital aplicando la tecnología informática en el área de Registro y Estadística de Salud (REGES) como herramientas emergentes que nos facilitarán la accesibilidad y almacenamiento del expediente clínico electrónico en beneficio del profesional de REGES, médicos y del paciente. Este estudio fue realizado mediante un plan estratégico que giraba en torno a un esmerado trabajo con una perspectiva científica de la recolección de los diferentes documentos e informaciones relacionados con los manuales guía del software ePower que nos permitieron crear una estructura jerárquica de la bases de datos que redundarán favorablemente en la sistematización de los procesos manuales actuales a la eficacia en los servicios al paciente que brindan las instituciones sanitarias. La investigación es de carácter práctico y busca darle solución al expediente clínico de papel por medio digital y que a su vez permita la preservación del mismo, como también, garantizándole su seguridad informática y de prevención al medio ambiente buscando con ello la disminución de la tala de árboles para la fabricación del papel. Nuestra propuesta la consideramos actualizable, eficiente y muy viable en cuanto a la adquisición de un servidor, licencias del software ePower mediante vía donación de un convenio con la Empresa Grupo de Soluciones Informáticas mutuo con el CENTRO REGIONAL UNIVERSITARIO DE PANAMÁ ESTE, el cual le facilitará tanto al docente impartir y al estudiante el aprendizaje y dominio de la administración de documentos por estaciones de cliente-servidor. El software ePower de la Empresa Grupo de Soluciones Informáticas (GSI) que escogimos para esta investigación es muy fácil de administrar y a su vez cumple con la legislación vigente de nuestro país y se encuentra instalado en diferentes empresas privadas e instituciones públicas como también recientemente en el (2018) fue donado y actualizado mediante la prórroga de un convenio para uso académico a la Escuela de Archivología de la Facultad de Humanidades de la Universidad de Panamá para que los estudiantes de Registro y Estadística de Salud (REGES) de la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales, Exactas y Tecnologías del campus tengan la oportunidad de hacer sus prácticas de digitalización del expediente clínico en el Laboratorio de Informática antes mencionado. dc.description.abstractenglishThis research entitled "PROPOSAL FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE E- POWER DIGITALIZED INFORMATION SOFTWARE FOR CLINICAL FILES MANAGEMENT IN THE UNIVERSITY REGIONAL CENTER OF PANAMA EAST” has as its fundamental objective that the student who is enrolled in the Bachelor´s Degree of Health Registry and Statistics take advantage of the opportunity in their academic training to use a computer application of the documents electronic administration to convert the current clinical files from paper to digital format which has been administered over the years through manual procedures. With this contribution we intend to achieve the implementation of the digital format by applying computer technology in the field of Health Registry and Statistics (REGES) as emerging tools that will facilitate to us the accessibility and storage of the electronic clinical file for the benefit of REGES doctor and the patient. This study was carried out through a strategic plan that turned around a careful work with a scientific perspective of the collection of the different documents and information related to the e-Power software guidance manual that allowed us to create a hierarchical structure of the database that will favorably result in the systematization of current manual processes to the effectiveness in the patient´s services provided by the health institution. The research is of a practical nature and seeks to solve the paper clinical file by digital means, which in turn allows the preservation thereof, as well as guaranteeing its computer security and prevention to the environment, thereby seeking the reduction of tree felling, for paper making. We consider our proposal upgradeable, efficient and very feasible in terms of acquiring a server, e-power software licenses through donation to the UNIVERSITY REGIONAL CENTER OF PANAMA EAST, which will make it easier for the teacher and student to teach and master the document management by client-server stations. The software e-Power of the Company Grupo de Soluciones Informáticas that we chose for this research is very easy to handle and it complies with the current law of our country and it is installed in different private companies and public institutions as it was also donated through the extension of an agreement for academic use to the Archive Science School of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Panama so that the students of Health Registry and Statistics (REGES) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Exact and Technologies of the campus have the opportunity to do their practices of digitalization of the clinical file in the aforementioned Computer Laboratory.
