Su propósito fue analizar la relación entre las estrategias pedagógicas implementadas por los docentes y la deserción escolar de los estudiantes de bachillerato y media en la institución educativa Nueva Unión del municipio de Tierralta. La investigación es de tipo descriptivo correlacional, con enfoque cuantitativo. Los resultados arrojan que existe una correlación directa, con niveles de intensidad moderada y alta, y estadísticamente significativa muy significativa, entre las estrategias pedagógicas y la deserción escolar en la IE Nueva Unión. Concluye el autor que Entre los aspectos más significativos de este trabajo está que se logró concretar un análisis detallado de las variables generales y de sus correspondientes dimensiones, porque permitieron el establecimiento de correlaciones entre ellas expresadas en sus características de direccionalidad, niveles de intensidad y significancia.
